Following the success of our Just Mercy book club, HPDP will facilitate another center-wide discussion of the book Urban Alchemy: Restoring Joy in America’s Sorted-Out Cities on Thursday, November 19, 2015. Author Mindy Thompson Fullilove uses her unique perspective as a public health psychiatrist to connect the fields of public health and urban planning, proposing a new way to heal broken cities.
This highly recommended book will continue HPDP’s summer theme of exploring issues related to diversity and the impact they have on health. Beth Hopping and Meg Pomerantz have graciously agreed to facilitate our discussion.
