Timothy Carney’s current role as assistant professor involved research, teaching and professional development activities. His overall goal is to enhance his knowledge of systems-level informatics diagnosis and design of the complex and adaptive environments and multilevel agents, including patients, providers, health care organizations and community leaders, related to cancer health disparities elimination. The academic appointment builds upon his work from the CDC. Carney received his doctoral training in Health Informatics at Indiana University and performed his Cancer Health Disparities post-doctoral fellowship program at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he was exposed to enriching experiences with a multidisciplinary team of researchers.
