HPDP Director Alice Ammerman traveled to Australia in early July to be a part of two conferences addressing sustainable agriculture and health. She was a keynote speaker at the Home Economics Institute of Australia conference Daring to Dream- Preferred Futures through Home Economics on July 8th to 13th in Darwin.
She also spoke at the Food for All- Securing the Future seminar on Monday, July 13, in Swan Hill, Victoria, Australia. The seminar is part of a five-year project by local Australian government authorities and aims to improve access to foods for healthy eating and food security. Ammerman discussed the Gillings Sustainable Agriculture project at both events (see the project’s new blog at: http://gillingsproject.wordpress.com).
