The UNC Center for Health Promotion and Disease Prevention (HPDP) seeks two seeks a student interns to assist in the communication, video, social media web and graphic design activities of the Center.

We are looking for a summer intern (May-early August) and an intern for the fall semester. The summer internship could be extended into fall for the right candidate.

Responsibilities would include the creation of content for the website, Facebook and Twitter feeds, YouTube channel and the design of marketing materials such as poster presentations, handouts and web materials. In addition, media monitoring and event coordination would be required tasks.

UNC HPDP is committed to introducing students to the unique aspects of health communication and the way that these mediums help the Center bring public health research findings to the daily lives of individuals and communities in North Carolina vulnerable to disease.

Paid internship positions based on experience for a 10-15 hour/week commitment. The internship program is designed to give students ownership of some communication projects and help them build their portfolios accordingly.

HPDP is located off-campus at 1700 Martin Luther King Jr, Blvd., but on two bus lines. We offer a flexible work schedule and opportunities to work from campus or home.
