Research Fellows - Center for Health Promotion and Disease Prevention

The Center for Health Promotion and Disease Prevention (HPDP) Research Fellows program comprises a multidisciplinary network of UNC faculty and EHRA-NF research scientists who generate new knowledge in health promotion and disease prevention by developing and testing interventions, disseminating research findings, and translating research into evidence-based practice. HPDP provides Fellows with support for proposal development and grants management, announcements about funding opportunities, public relations support, community connections, and networking events with other UNC faculty.

In addition, PIs and Co-PIs of Center-administered projects have access to:

Research translation and dissemination support services
IT support

Expectations of Fellows

Acknowledge HPDP affiliation, as appropriate, in publications, presentations, and news releases
Provide information for profile regarding research interests on website to facilitate collaboration
Contribute to discussions on research agenda, opportunities, and planning
Identify promising new UNC faculty whose research interests align with those of the Center and who could be future Fellows

Becoming an HPDP Research Fellow

All HPDP Principal Investigators are also Research Fellows, but we encourage other UNC faculty and EHRA-NF research scientists with interest in conducting health promotion research to join our network.
