Since 2014, the FFORC team has worked alongside community partners in rural counties to create or improve upon community gardens in an effort to increase access to fresh fruits and vegetables, increase physical activity, and encourage community engagement.

We currently have 13 partnerships in nine North Carolina counties with civic-minded, social justice-oriented organizations that reach historically marginalized populations. Our team provides technical assistance in the form of printed resources, garden training, and on-the-ground support, as well as help identifying and writing grants to support garden projects.
