Celeste is a first-year Ph.D. student in the nutrition department and a recent graduate of the UNC Gillings School of Global Public Health MPH program with a concentration in dietetics. She completed her BS in dietetics at the University of Connecticut and has a background in farming, culinary arts, and early childhood education. Currently, she is the Cabinet Director of Local Relations for UNC Graduate and Professional Student Government and works under Dr. Molly Demarco at the Center for Health Promotion and Disease Prevention to explore the centering and measurement of equity and cultural relevance in nutrition interventions. At home, Celeste enjoys gardening, cooking, and spending time outdoors.
