Isabel Lu is an MPH-RD student at UNC Chapel Hill Gillings School of Global Public Health. She completed her Bachelor of Science at Cornell University majoring in Nutritional Sciences and minoring in Inequality Studies. She is interested in community-based participatory research related to food sovereignty, racial equity, food systems, nutrition and policy. She plans to pursue a PhD in community nutrition following her master’s degree and hopes to contribute to research and public policies that center the health and experiences of marginalized communities. At the Center for Health Promotion and Disease Prevention, Isabel was the project coordinator on the Healthy Helping pilot study and is now a data collector on the WAGE$ study.
