Sarah Burstein is a senior BSPH student in Gilling’s School of Global Public Health’s Nutrition Department. She aspires to pursue an MS in nutritional biochemistry before medical school with a vision of incorporating nutrition and healthy lifestyles as central components to patient care. At FFORC, Sarah works with Brett on the community garden’s project to increase the accessibility of fresh foods and foster community engagement in rural NC. Additionally, she is in her fourth year of interning in the Quality Assurance and Clinical Operations departments at vTv Therapeutics, supporting the activities of pharmaceutical development clinical trials for Alzheimer’s disease and diabetes.
