With expertise in community-engaged research, we’re preventing chronic disease, starting here in North Carolina.

As a CDC Prevention Research Center, our core project is to understand how to implement Diabetes Self-Management Education & Support (DSMES) more equitably in communities with high diabetes prevalence and low DSMES uptake, focusing on rural NC counties. Learn more about our core research project.
