The project was a three-state study of the physical activity and diet environments in child care centers in Georgia, Kentucky, and Mississippi. The aims of the project were to assess the nutrition and physical activity practices and policies of child care centers in the three states, as well as examine differences in these measures by geographic region (rural vs. urban), food program participation (CACFP vs. non-CACFP), and center type (Head Start vs. non-Head Start). The project also evaluated the impact of state-level regulations on nutrition and physical activity practices of the centers.
