Description
North Carolina’s Healthy Helping (HH) Fruit and Vegetable Incentive program provides support for eligible SNAP beneficiaries to purchase fresh, frozen, and canned fruits and vegetables without added sugar, salt, or fat. The goal of this study is to develop and pilot assessment methods for the Healthy Helping program. The study will determine whether Healthy Helping improves food security among SNAP beneficiaries, improves the quality of food purchased, bolsters food spending, and how participants experienced the Healthy Helping delivery method as compared to other pandemic food access programs.
